Still undecided?
Safe for silk, baby clothes and sensitive skin?
Yes. Dermatologically tested, free from SLS and phosphates. For silk: a delicate programme, in a laundry bag.
How many pearls per wash?
One pearl for a normal load, two for a full drum. Place it in the empty drum, before the laundry, from 30 °C.
Do I need to buy a new Écrin every time?
For now, yes: each Écrin arrives full, with thirty pearls. A refill of pearls, without the Écrin, is in preparation.
And if I don’t like the fragrance?
Write to us within 30 days: we refund you, with no return needed. You keep everything.
Three more answers
Is the fragrance strong?
Present, never overpowering: it reveals itself as you open the drum, then on the clothes you wear, up close. Soleil de Syracuse is the freshest, La Blanche the most floral, Santal de Mysore the most enveloping.
Is it 100% natural?
No, and the Maison does not claim it is. Plant-derived, biodegradable surfactants, free from SLS and phosphates; the fragrance blends natural and synthetic materials, as in fine perfumery.
And in cold water?
The pearl is designed for 30 °C and above: that is where it dissolves completely. Keep to 30 °C, even for delicates.

Place one pearl directly in the empty drum – never in the detergent drawer. Add your clothes. Start your usual programme, from 30 °C. The pearl dissolves completely and leaves your clothes with a fragrance that lasts for days.

Why everyone is talking
about a laundry detergent.
The fragrance
Where it sits
Who it is for
In the words of Le Nezmaster perfumer of the Maison
From those who have discovered the art of perfumed laundry.
‘I never thought a laundry pearl would become what I look forward to most on washing day.’
‘It is the only product I leave on show in my linen cupboard. The Écrin alone is worth the journey.’
‘Even my husband asked which hotel we were staying in. We were at home.’
Three gestures

Place a pearl
One pearl, straight into the drum.

Start the cycle
Your usual programme, from 30 °C.

Wear your clothes
Clothes that carry your home with them. Your sillage begins.
What to truly expect
The Maison prefers to be precise about timing.

THE FIRST WASH
The fragrance settles in
Straight out of the drum, your clothes carry the full signature – orange blossom, sandalwood, immaculate white. Air-dry or tumble-dry on low heat to set it.

AFTER 7 DAYS
The sillage lingers
A shirt taken from the wardrobe a week later still releases its sillage at the slightest movement. This is where most detergents gave up long ago.

AFTER 30 DAYS
The ritual is in place
One pearl per wash, thirty washes per Écrin. Your laundry has a signature. If it is not to your liking – a refund within 30 days, and the Écrin is yours to keep.

The most frequently asked questions:

Since 1371
The art of perfumed laundry
In 1371, a Marseille merchant named Crescas Davin built his name around the household linen – how to wash it, how to perfume it, how to keep it. Then his house fell silent. Six centuries passed.
The Maison Davyn is not a lineage. It is a gesture we learn anew.
Today, the Maison takes up the craft of Crescas Davin – not as a descendant, but as an attentive successor. Santal de Mysore. Rose de Grasse. Syracuse orange. Madagascan vanilla. Each pearl is a slow object in a hurried world.
‘Tradition is not a lineage. It is a gesture we learn anew.’
